Ackel is a 6-3, 220-235-pound linebacker with a strong high-school résumé at John Curtis, where he produced 107 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and 6 sacks, but his college impact has been limited so far, with no recorded tackles in his early ULM/New Mexico timeline and only sparse 2024 production logged at Louisiana-Monroe. His appeal is size, length and a proven background in disruptive, physical defense; the question is whether he can translate that frame and motor into consistent Sun Belt snaps. He looks more like a depth-and-development fit than an immediate impact starter.
