Brendan Newton brings rare 7-foot-2 size to Liberty’s frontcourt

Brendan Newton is a towering 7-foot-2 center whose value is mostly about rim presence, interior size, and matchup disruption rather than scoring volume; Liberty’s own roster and historical bios list him in that ultra-rare big-man mold, which makes him a useful fit if a team needs paint protection, rebounding, and a screen-setting anchor. His biggest differentiator is simply how hard he is to play through—when he’s healthy and active, he gives a roster a true change-of-pace interior body that can tilt possessions without needing touches.
