Thomas Kennedy brings depth and return-game value for Liberty
Thomas Kennedy is a proven depth piece with real special-teams utility: in the 2025 season, he played 6 games for Detroit, caught all 4 of his targets for 36 yards, and added 447 kick-return yards plus 50 punt-return yards[8][10]. His calling card is reliability and versatility rather than volume—he has shown strong hands, enough route skill to contribute on offense, and the kind of gritty, role-player profile coaches like for physical practices and special teams[3][2]. If Liberty needs a dependable, multi-use football player who can help field position and do the dirty work, Kennedy fits that mold[8][10].
