Ngassa is a 6-foot-4, 210-pound Illinois linebacker from Chicago who redshirted in the 2024 season and, as of 2025, has yet to play in a game for the Illini[1][2]. His appeal is obvious: rangy frame, in-state pedigree, and the kind of length that can develop into disruption at outside linebacker if the strength and polish come along[1][2]. He’s more “future chess piece” than proven producer right now, so a team should like the upside if it can be patient.
