Landon Waugh is Morehead State’s high-upside, strike-throwing sophomore who can take the ball on Friday
In the 2026 season, Landon Waugh has been an important piece for Morehead State, highlighted by a complete-game win with a career-high 9 strikeouts against Western Illinois and a role as an opening-weekend starter. He’s a right-hander who competes deep into games, shows toughness in hitter-friendly settings, and has enough command to earn trust on the mound, even if his 2026 run prevention has been uneven. If you want a pitcher who can handle pressure, soak up innings, and keep attacking, he fits the profile.
