Morehead State LB with Elite Coverage Skills and High-Intensity Play
Brian Nelson, a linebacker for the Morehead State Eagles, brings a unique differentiator as a former North Texas CB (2023–2024) with elite coverage instincts, 4 interceptions in 2024, and 53 combined tackles, translating to exceptional ball-hawking ability at the LB position. His 17.5-yard interception average and 3 pass breakups in 2024 highlight his range and timing, while his transition from CB to LB showcases adaptability and football IQ. Though no injury history is reported, his intensity level is evident from his 45 solo tackles and consistent presence in coverage. Nelson’s personality traits—disciplined, aggressive, and coachable—make him a high-fit prospect for teams needing a versatile, coverage-savvy linebacker who can shut down passes and support run defense. If you value a player who reads quarterbacks like a QB and tackles like a wall, Nelson is your guy.
