Lucy Martinez Brings Playmaking, Defense, and a Coach-Ready Grit to Stetson
Lucy Martinez profiles as a low-usage but steady two-way guard for Stetson, averaging 3.4 points, 1.3 assists, 1.0 steals, and 3.3 rebounds per game in the available season data.[1] The bigger draw is her decision-making and connective play: Barry described her as a "confident leader" who is a great passer and can score, defend, and set up teammates, which suggests a floor-raising fit for a system that values discipline and toughness.[4] She does not pop as a high-volume scorer, so her value is in reliability, defensive activity, and making teammates better.[1][4]
