Hayden Perry brings a steady, all-around catching profile with proven leadership
Perry is a right-handed catcher at Samford with a solid all-around profile: a low, flexible receiving stance, dependable hands, confidence blocking pitches in the dirt, and enough arm to throw 2.09 to second in early scouting looks. Samford’s roster bio also points to production and leadership, including a .305 batting average, .991 fielding percentage, and two-time team captain status, which suggests he brings more than tools—he brings credibility and toughness. In short, he looks like a fit for teams wanting a composed backstop who can handle the game and lead a staff.
