Duquesne's Tackling Machine from the 2014 NEC Wars
Sam Martello, Duquesne Dukes linebacker, shone in 2014 with NEC Player of the Week honors for a game-sealing safety against RMU and 13 tackles (3 solo) leading the Dukes in their NEC opener win over CCSU; his sack-forcing fumble vs. UAlbany highlights his disruptive intensity and nose-for-ball chaos[1][5][6]. A hard-hitting run-stopper with proven big-moment clutch, he's the reliable enforcer any defense craves—no recent data post-2014, but his grit screams 'immediate starter fit' for teams needing linebacker tenacity.
