a former UMass starter whose game was built on poise and timing
Kellen Pagel’s UMass profile is that of a steady quarterback who once earned the Minutemen’s starting job, threw 9 touchdown passes in the 2011 season, and added a rushing threat with 2 scores that year; he also battled a concussion issue in 2012, which is part of his evaluation story[1][5][13]. His value is less about flash and more about reliability, experience, and managing an offense under pressure[1][3]. If you want a QB with toughness and a proven college résumé, he checks real boxes; if you need high-end explosive production, the stat line suggests a more modest ceiling[5][15].
