UNC Asheville guard Mitchell Taylor brings two-way rookie impact and playmaking upside
Taylor is a 6-foot-3 freshman guard whose game is defined by steady production, defensive activity, and feel for the floor: in the 2023-24 season at South Carolina State, he led the team in scoring (8.5 points per game), added 2.9 rebounds, 64 assists, and 36 steals, and earned MEAC All-Rookie Team honors after twice winning Rookie of the Week.[1] The quick read: he looks like a connective, high-motor backcourt piece with real disruptive instincts, and his value comes from doing a little of everything rather than empty-volume scoring.[1]
