Tanner Schaedel is a rising ODU bat with extra-base pop and winning pedigree
Tanner Schaedel, a 6-foot-2 sophomore OF for Old Dominion in the 2026 season, brings a strong local pedigree from Cape Henry Collegiate, where he was a two-time state and conference champion and earned conference, state, and All-Tidewater Player of the Year honors. ODU’s game notes show he’s already made impact plays, including a two-run homer in 2025 and RBI doubles in key spots, hinting at a hitter who can drive momentum, not just fill a box score. The fit looks best for teams wanting competitive edge, developing power, and a player with proven winning habits.
