veteran Army guard who brought size, grit and a role-player’s edge
In the 2021-22 season, Brendan Thiele was a 6'5" senior guard for Army who played a modest rotation role, but his profile still hints at why coaches value him: size for a guard, experience, and a willingness to do the dirty work on a disciplined program. His stat line that season was light offensively—9 points in 9 games—but his value is more about fit, maturity and depth than box-score fireworks. If you need a tough, system-friendly guard who understands structure, Thiele looks like a smart bench-fit piece rather than a headline hunter.
