Carter Hess is Fordham’s sturdy, rising interior anchor
In the 2026 season, junior DL Carter Hess looks like a reliable Fordham line piece at 6-foot-2, 294 pounds, after playing all 12 games in 2025 and starting three at nose tackle. His 2025 production jumped to 27 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 1.0 sack after 13 tackles as a freshman in 2024, showing a clear upward trend and enough pop to disrupt plays, not just occupy blockers. He brings size, experience, and year-over-year growth—exactly the kind of steady, physical interior defender a team can trust in the trenches.
