Buddy Howell Jr. brings veteran burst, toughness, and special-teams value to FAU
Buddy Howell Jr. is a proven, downhill back with a long track record at Florida Atlantic and in the pros: in his FAU career, he rushed for 2,424 yards and 22 touchdowns in 39 games, including a 2017 season with 690 rushing yards and 6.7 yards per carry. He stands out for contact balance, decisiveness, and a workmanlike edge that coaches tend to love, but he’s most compelling as a reliable, physical depth piece rather than a feature-back flash show. If your team wants experience, grit, and versatility, he fits the bill.
