Marquis Smith brings a downhill, experience-driven LB presence to Savannah State
Smith profiles as a steady, physical linebacker who can add maturity and toughness to a defense; Savannah State’s roster lists him at 6-foot-3, 235 pounds in his Tigers tenure, and he has also shown versatility by moving from linebacker into an ATH designation by 2025. He has prior college game experience and the kind of workmanlike background that suggests reliability more than flash, which matters if you want a linebacker who can fit schemes, handle contact, and stay assignment-sound.
