Jake Waas brings veteran defensive-line grit to UC Davis
Jake Waas is a seasoned UC Davis defensive lineman whose value is built more on toughness, experience, and effort than headline stats. The roster bio shows he earned scout-team recognition early in his career, has a background as a multi-sport, physical prep standout, and even holds a black belt in karate—an unusual hint at balance, discipline, and leverage skills that can translate well up front. For a team, that suggests a dependable, high-motor depth piece with a grinder’s mentality, especially useful if you want steady practice intensity and positional versatility.
