Grover Benton remains a name in the ECU DB room, but current on-field impact is hard to pin down
Grover Benton is listed as an East Carolina defensive back, but the available public stats don’t show meaningful recent production, so the clearest read is that he’s more of a depth/roster piece than a headline-grabber right now. The key question for a team is upside versus uncertainty: there isn’t enough current game-impact data to sell him as a proven ballhawk, but his continued presence on the ECU roster suggests value in development, special teams potential, and practice reliability. In short: intriguing only if your staff likes projection, not splashy stat lines.
