In the 2025 season, Joey August logged his first career appearance for LSU against Southeastern Louisiana after joining the program as a walk-on in 2023, and he enters 2026 as a redshirt junior out of New Orleans. He’s not a stat-sheet headline machine yet, but his value is in trench toughness, reliability, and a program-first mentality that coaches love in developmental defensive linemen.
