Montel Hughes brings speed and blitz juice to Presbyterian’s linebacker room
Montel Hughes is a Presbyterian linebacker whose calling card has long been speed and disruption; the Blue Hose described him in the 2010 season outlook as “very dangerous in blitz situations” with “great speed for the position.” In 2011, he logged 4 tackles against Wofford, and his career totals listed by fanstake show 16 tackles, 1 assist, and 6 total stops across two seasons, suggesting a role built more on pressure and effort than box-score volume. If a team wants an energetic, downhill linebacker who can attack gaps and add intensity, Hughes fits the mold.
