McCall Biemiller’s arm talent still pops, but the Florida lefty is searching for a bigger role
In the 2025 season, McCall Biemiller showed real bat-missing upside for Florida, striking out 18 in 13 2/3 innings with a 11.9 K/9, even while finishing with a 5.93 ERA and a .224 batting average against. He was a highly regarded prep arm out of Tampa Jesuit, and the early buzz centered on a live left arm, strike-throwing flashes, and the kind of competitive edge coaches love. The catch: his workload dipped sharply in 2026, and he entered the transfer portal, so he looks more like a development bet than a ready-made plug-and-play fix.
