Isaac Lucas has shown swing-and-miss upside, but his 2026 command has been uneven
In the 2026 season, Memphis left-hander Isaac Lucas has flashed real strikeout ability and bat-missing stuff, but his results have been volatile; he opened March with a rough outing against Ole Miss, yet later turned in a sharper two-inning, one-hit, two-strikeout relief stint in the upset win over No. 18 Ole Miss. His appeal is the left-handed frame and proven pedigree from Chabot College, where he posted 106 strikeouts in 96 innings with a 2.91 ERA in 2024, but the current profile says “tools with some turbulence,” not finished product.
