a veteran Stony Brook guard with proven big-game moxie
Puriefoy is a seasoned, scoring-minded guard who was a major driver of Stony Brook’s 2016 breakthrough, and his Stony Brook legacy still pops: the school says he ranks among its all-time leaders in games played, three-pointers, free throws, steals, assists, and scoring, while ESPN lists him at 11.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game in the 2025-26 season. He’s the kind of guard you want if you value composure, shot-making, and a history of rising in pressure moments; the vibe is veteran calm with a little “give me the last shot” swagger.
