Scotty Edwards is Davidson’s clutch, middle-order spark
In the 2026 season, Scotty Edwards has been a real problem for opposing pitchers, posting a team-best .355 average and 1.118 OPS while delivering big-moment power, including a walk-off homer in Davidson’s comeback win over St. Bonaventure. The senior outfielder brings a right-handed bat, solid physicality at 5-foot-11, 200 pounds, and a reputation for toughness and defensive value—he earned JUCO All-Star and all-defensive recognition before Davidson. He looks like a high-upside fit if you want an experienced, competitive bat with proven clutch juice.
