Alec Welshans is La Salle’s early-season thunderbolt
In the 2026 season, Alec Welshans has been a tone-setter for La Salle, blasting home runs in bunches and even earning Atlantic 10 Player of the Week after a monster opening weekend. He’s the kind of power-first bat who changes a game in one swing, but the sneaky value is the extra juice: he has also drawn walks and stolen bases, showing he’s not just a one-tool slugger. If your team wants a right-handed first-base/outfield fit who brings pop, confidence, and momentum-changer energy, Welshans is absolutely worth the look.
