a physical McNeese safety prospect who fits best as a tone-setter
No reliable public stat line for Derek Boast was surfaced in the available sources, so the safest read is that he profiles as a defensive back to monitor for fit more than box-score production. As a **safety**, the key questions are whether he brings range, tackling reliability, and special-teams value—traits that matter for a McNeese defensive role and for any team seeking a dependable, low-flash competitor. If you want a hard-hitting depth piece with upside, he’s worth a closer scouting look; if you need instant headline stats, the public record here is thin.
