Rice forward Damion McDowell Jr. is a depth-piece with size and touch, but still looking to expand his role
McDowell is a 6'6" Rice forward whose college résumé shows limited game action so far, with three appearances and two points in the 2022-23 season, so his current value is more about upside than production[1][2][6][8]. What makes him interesting is the recruiting profile Rice signed: he was described as a versatile high-school scorer/rebounder/creator who averaged 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 assists while shooting 62% from the field and 37% from three, suggesting a multi-skill frontcourt fit if the tools translate[3].
