Kent State's Ironman OL with 50 Straight Starts
Brian Winters, Kent State Golden Flashes' record-setting offensive lineman, started all 50 career games from 2009-2012—a school record—while earning three-time All-MAC honors for his versatility snapping at tackle and guard. Known as 'Nasty' for his gritty, high-motor play, he dominated MAC competition with elite strength and football IQ, drawing NFL scouts early; the Jets nailed their 2013 third-round pick (72nd overall). No major injuries, just relentless toughness—perfect fit for teams needing a durable, nasty starter who elevates the line's intensity.
