a smart, defense-first forward who brings grit and veteran feel to Stetson
Janene Maclin stands out as a high-IQ, defense-first forward who coaches have described as “another coach on the floor,” with strong rebounding, improved perimeter scoring, and a reputation for doing the little things that stabilize a lineup. In Stetson’s 2004-05 season preview, she was praised for athleticism, analysis, and toughness, with her biggest value coming from her defensive impact and ability to help at the four spot. If a team wants a disciplined, unselfish forward who plays hard and understands the game, she’s an easy yes.
