High-Intensity LB with Elite Tackling Pedigree for Akron
Marco Donatelli, a 6-3, 215-lb Redshirt Freshman LB for the Akron Zips, stands out not just for his 2020 college stat of 1 tackle (ranked 927th of 1,162 LBs), but for his explosive high school pedigree: 120 total tackles (26th in Ohio) and top-4 All-American-Blue rankings in two stats. His differentiator is relentless intensity and a tackling-first mindset honed since Girard, OH, where he was a Division IV standout. While his college stats are limited due to being a freshman in 2020, his physical profile (6-3, 215 lbs) and proven tackling volume suggest he’s a high-fit LB for teams needing a physical, coverage-savvy player with elite intensity. No injury history reported; his personality is described as driven and team-oriented by reliable sources.
