Reggie Grodin is a high-IQ, two-way Penn State guard with legit plug-and-play upside
In the 2025-26 season, Grodin arrives as a 6-5, 200-pound redshirt freshman who earned a three-star rating from 247Sports and brings a well-rounded résumé: 12.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.5 steals per game at Newman School, plus a 3.1 assist-to-turnover ratio and 41% shooting from three. He’s a connector, not just a scorer—physical, efficient, and disruptive on defense. Penn State clearly values his basketball IQ and versatility; the only real catch is that he’s still a developmental piece after redshirting, so the payoff is about long-term polish, not instant fireworks.
