Tennessee Tech’s all-time LB standard, but not a 2026 active player
Chad Evitts is a Tennessee Tech legend, not a current 2026 roster linebacker, so he’s best viewed as a historical benchmark rather than a live transfer target. In 2000, he was the OVC Defensive Player of the Year, led the league with 24 tackles for loss, piled up 118 total tackles, and added 2 sacks, 18 QB hurries, 5 forced fumbles, and a pick—classic havoc-making middle linebacker stuff. His differentiator was intensity plus production: every snap looked like he was trying to ruin somebody’s afternoon.
