Matt Maher brings compact, senior-led linebacker value to Valparaiso
Matt Maher is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound senior linebacker for Valparaiso in 2026, a frame that suggests he’s built for dependable downhill play and special-teams toughness rather than flash[1]. He looks like the kind of linebacker a coach trusts: mature, physical, and steady, with a profile that fits a tackling-first role and room to add value through instincts and consistency[1]. If you want an undersized-but-scrappy tone-setter who can help stabilize the middle of a defense, Maher is worth a look[1].
