Massive, disruptive Hokies DT with veteran upside
Virginia Tech’s Isaac Montgomery brings true interior beef at 6-foot-4, 284 pounds, and the Hokies list him as a redshirt senior defensive tackle, so he offers grown-man experience and stack-the-line value rather than project-only potential[1]. His appeal is the classic trench combo: size, leverage, and the kind of presence that can clog run lanes, absorb double teams, and let teammates play free. The downside is that publicly available recent production data is sparse, so he profiles more as an experienced depth/rotation piece unless his 2026 camp jump says otherwise[1].
