a defense-first Rhode Island guard with grit and versatility
Safi Mojidi profiles as a **tough, do-the-dirty-work guard** for Rhode Island, the kind of player coaches trust because he can impact a game beyond scoring. In Rhode Island’s 61-55 loss to Saint Joseph’s in February 2026, he produced nine points, a team-high eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and his first career block, a stat line that shows active hands, physicality and willingness to battle on the glass. That blend of **energy, defensive activity and positional versatility** makes him a fit for teams needing a competitive connector rather than a pure usage scorer.[3]
