Pepperdine’s Reliable Forward with Untapped Scoring Potential
Dustin Johnson, a forward for the Pepperdine Waves, is a steady, high-intensity player whose reliability in the paint and defensive presence make him a valuable fit for teams needing a physical, low-maintenance contributor. While his scoring averages remain modest, Johnson differentiates himself through consistent effort, strong rebounding instincts, and a personality that elevates team morale—traits that don’t always show in stat sheets. No major injury history has been reported, and his intensity level is consistently high, making him a dependable option in close games. For coaches seeking a forward who brings grit, defensive versatility, and team-first energy, Johnson is a strong fit, especially in programs that prioritize defense and hustle over flashy scoring.
