Packer’s steady, high-GPA 197-pound climb gives Rutgers a reliable grinder
Hadyn Packer has been a useful depth piece at 197 for Rutgers, posting 12 wins as a freshman in 2023-24 and 9 wins in 2024-25, with a third-place finish at Zingo Nationals in 2025 and a fourth at the 2023 Princeton Open. He’s the kind of wrestler coaches trust: disciplined, durable, and academically locked in, with Rutgers noting he earned the team’s Top GPA award and Academic All-Big Ten honors. If you want a blue-collar heavyweight-class presence who brings consistency, work ethic, and room to grow, Packer is a legit fit.
