Lamarr Houston is a **retired former Texas star** — not a current Longhorn DT
Lamarr Houston played **defensive line at Texas from 2006–09** and built a pro résumé with **30.5 sacks** and **76 quarterback hits** in eight NFL seasons, but he is **not a current college athlete** and is officially retired from football. He was known as a powerful, disruptive edge/line defender with NFL-caliber burst and toughness, which made him valuable in attacking fronts; however, any team-fit discussion today is historical rather than current, since he walked away from the game after his NFL career.
