Vanderbilt’s old-school, punishment-proof right tackle with SEC grit
In the 2007 season, Brian Stamper was a dependable, battle-tested Vanderbilt tackle who returned from back surgery to start all 12 games at right tackle and play virtually every offensive snap. He was a three-year starter, a team captain, and a 2005 SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week, which tells you he wasn’t just durable—he could win reps against quality SEC competition. His biggest differentiators were toughness, consistency, and leadership; the injury history adds context, but also makes his comeback and reliability even more impressive.
