Cristina Bigica brings veteran backcourt savvy and international pedigree to Marquette
Cristina Bigica is a 5-10 guard from Bucharest, Romania who gave Marquette a steady, multi-year backcourt presence and arrived with real international credibility, including MVP honors at the 2010 FIBA U-18 Division B Championship and strong production for Romania’s U20 team. Her profile suggests a smart, composed guard with touch, experience, and defensive bite rather than a pure volume scorer. For a team, that usually means reliability, maturity, and low-drama basketball — the kind of player who makes the rotation cleaner even when the box score stays polite.
