Cody Gentry is a depth defensive back with special-teams value in the USF mix
Cody Gentry’s current statistical production at South Florida is limited, with 2 assisted tackles and no passes defended or sacks listed, so his value is less about box-score flash and more about roster flexibility and developmental upside.[1][4] At 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds, he brings a bigger DB frame that can help in physical coverage and special teams, and his football path across multiple stops suggests resilience and adaptability.[5] He looks like a fit for a team that wants size, depth, and a hard-nosed worker rather than an instant headline-maker.[4][5]
