veteran Marshall mauler with size, experience, and depth-chart value
In Marshall’s 2005 season, Ryan Baynes was a 6-foot-2, 314-pound senior offensive lineman who was listed as the No. 2 left guard and saw action in eight games as a reserve, giving the Herd experienced interior depth. The appeal is pretty simple: he’s a thick, battle-ready interior blocker with veteran know-how in a unit described as one of Marshall’s stronger groups in 2005. If you need a steady, physical guard who can survive college trench warfare and keep the offense on schedule, Baynes is the kind of fit that quietly helps wins happen.
