Paul Holyfield Jr. brings versatility and breakout-upside to Cal Poly’s backfield
Holyfield Jr. has shown a do-it-all profile at Cal Poly, with a 2023 season that included 213 rushing yards and 174 receiving yards in all 11 games, plus a 2025 line that reflected more of a rotational role. The 6-foot, 200-pound redshirt junior has real value as a tough, flexible RB who can contribute on the ground and as a receiver out of the backfield, and he’s also proven he can handle adversity after missing the 2024 season with a knee injury. He looks like a fit for teams that want reliable depth, pass-game versatility, and a player whose best football may still be ahead.
