veteran Yale linebacker with captain-level pedigree and proven tackle production
McHale’s profile is built on reliability, instincts, and leadership: Yale listed him as a senior captain and defensive leader, and in the 2012 season he paced the Bulldogs with 78 total tackles, including 43 solo stops, while adding two sacks and an interception. Yale also noted he started every game, earned Academic All-Ivy honors, and brought the kind of “team-first” edge coaches love—steady, physical, and smart in space. If you want a linebacker who can set the tone, communicate the defense, and finish plays, he’s your kind of fit.
