Freshman infielder Jack Forgues brings hit tool, contact bat, and clutch versatility to UMass Lowell
Jack Forgues enters the 2026 season as a freshman infielder for UMass Lowell after a loud high-school résumé, including a .527/.589/.635 line with 39 hits in 74 at-bats in his senior year at St. John’s.[5] Early in 2026, he’s already shown he can contribute in multiple ways — logging hits, runs, a double, an RBI, and a stolen base in game action — which fits a profile of a contact-oriented, competitive middle-of-the-lineup type who can keep the offense moving.[2][3][4]
