Cody Worthen brings disruptive, turnover-making linebacker play to SMU
Worthen has shown flashes as a compact, impact-oriented linebacker for SMU, with 23 solo tackles, 0.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles on his ESPN stat line, which points to a player who can create negative plays and punch the ball loose. His value is less about gaudy volume and more about urgency, physicality and opportunistic instincts—traits that translate well for teams looking for a tone-setting defender who can contribute in subpackages and special situations.[2]
