Melvin Johnson brings proven scoring touch and veteran guard savvy
Melvin Johnson is a 6'4" guard with a track record as a capable perimeter scorer and experienced backcourt option, highlighted by his 2015-16 season at VCU when he averaged 11.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game, and later a 2015-16 VCU stint where he logged 6.9 points in 17.3 minutes across 35 games. Reliable scouting signals from his player profile point to a steady, offense-first guard who can space the floor and provide maturity, though current Arkansas State-specific production isn’t available in the provided sources. If your team wants a seasoned wing/guard who can contribute as a shot-maker and bring professionalism, he’s worth a look.
