Nelson Hale brings veteran-sized frame and early-career run-stopping grit to MVSU's DL rotation
Nelson Hale is a 6-foot-1, 265-pound defensive lineman who entered Mississippi Valley State as a Pensacola Catholic product with a reputation for production and toughness, including 102 tackles and five sacks in his senior high school season and all-region honors in 2013. He also flashed in college action, finishing a 2014 game with seven tackles against UAPB, which suggests active hands, downhill effort, and willingness to work in traffic. For a team needing size, physicality, and a blue-collar interior presence, he profiles as a hard-nosed fit rather than a flashy stat-sheet rusher.
