Jonah Stepner brings veteran strike-throwing and ace-level pop for UMES
In the 2025 season, Jonah Stepner emerged as Maryland Eastern Shore’s tone-setter on the mound, leading the Hawks in ERA and wins while authoring a complete-game shutout against Delaware State with 8 strikeouts and only 2 walks. The 6-foot-4 righty is a captain in 2026, which says a lot about his competitiveness and trust in the clubhouse. His calling card is command, durability, and the ability to go deep into games—exactly the kind of steady, experienced arm that can stabilize a rotation and win you innings, even if the raw ceiling isn’t loudest-in-the-gym flashy.
