Eli Curtis brings a live left arm and Memphis bloodlines
Curtis is a 6-foot-3, left-handed redshirt sophomore who gives Memphis a potentially valuable southpaw arm, with the Tigers noting his real arm talent and need for quality lefties in the 2025 season.[1][3] In his 2023 season at Lincoln Land CC, he struck out 21 batters in 14.0 innings, a strong whiff rate that hints at swing-and-miss upside if the command catches up.[1][2][3] His biggest differentiators are the family connection to Memphis baseball, his power-lefty profile, and the fact that he is still a developing arm with room to grow after redshirting in 2024.[1][2]
